Welcome to Migration Matters United Kingdom

If the United Kingdom is your chosen destination for a new life abroad you will find that the renaissance in British culture has made it a very exciting place to live. Full of custom and tradition, this small island is older than the USA and Australia put together.

The U.K. comprises four countries each with distinct traditions and cultures. These entities are England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The contrast and diversity between each part of the U.K. is quite remarkable.

In England's North Country you'll find the scenic splendour of lakes and mountains, castles, dramatic coastlines and glorious National Parks, combined with the medieval city of York, lively Blackpool and Manchester, world renowned for its football. All the regions of England are within easy reach of the exciting capital city, London, famed for first class culture, fascinating history and pageantry, its world-class restaurants, shopping, nightlife, arts festivals, retreats and theatre..

About Migration to the UK

If you want to work in England, Scotland or Wales, you will, in most instances, require a UK work permit. Depending on your country of origin, you may need a visa as well. You'll need to bear in mind that work permits are issued to employers, not workers, so finding a job in advance is essential.

The new Highly Skilled Migrant Programme (HSMP) tends to be much sought after by candidates who are already successful in their present profession and who have achieved significant work experience. Unlike the work permit, the HSMP allows you the freedom to do business or work for an employer once you arrive in the U.K. without having a confirmed job offer in hand before you come here.
