The new skill assessment arrangements apply to any applicant whose country of residence is:
 
*   United Kingdom
*   India
*   Sri Lanka
*   South Africa
*   the Philippines
 
and who is seeking skills assessment in the following trades:
  
General Electrician
ASCO 4311-11
  
General Plumber
ASCO 4431-11
 
Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Mechanic
ASCO 4312-11
 
Motor Mechanics
ASCO 4211-11
  
Carpenter and Joiner
ASCO 4411-11
 
Carpenter
ASCO 4411-13
 
Joiner
ASCO 4411-15
 
Electrical Powerline Tradesperson
ASCO 4313-11
 
Cable Jointer
ASCO 4313-13
 
Bricklayer
ASCO 4414-11
 
These changes apply only to potential migrants in the specified countries and in the nominated trades listed above. There are no changes to the assessment process for other trades in the specified countries, nor are there any changes to the assessment process for these trades in other countries. Trades Recognition Australia will continue to be the assessing authority for these trades in all other countries.
