Hiring Migration Matters

We receive many queries on the process of hiring Migration Matters for a variety of immigration cases. We hope the following brief FAQ section will answer some of these queries; if not, please do not hesitate to contact us.

What makes Migration Matters different from other Migration Agencies
or consultants?

Isn't it just filling out forms? Can't I do that myself?
Why should I hire you as my Registered Migration Agent?
I want to hire your firm, what is the next step?
Can you help me if I live in another state or country?

WHAT MAKES MIGRATION MATTERS DIFFERENT FROM OTHER MIGRATION AGENCIES OR CONSULTANTS?

Professionalism.
We are qualified and experienced. Our team consists of Lawyers and Registered Migration Agents who have been practicing for years. We do not outsource our work like many firms and agencies do that claim to handle all immigration for all countries. We are all regulated by the relevant legal authorities and therefore practice immigration with high standards. Essentially, this means that in Australia, one must be an Australian citizen or resident and registered with MARA. In the US, one must be a qualified Attorney and member of a US state bar. In Canada, this means that one must be a Canadian citizen or resident and registered with the CSIC or a member of a provincial bar. In the UK, this means that one must either be a practicing solicitor or registered with the OISC. We are all regulated by the necessary authorities and are therefore, committed to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and service.

Value for money.
We offer a personalised service by experienced Lawyers and Registered Migration Agents for the price of a consultant. Our fees are competitive in the market and we deliver a valuable service. We charge fixed fees which are payable in two installments: the first one is payable when you retain our services; the second one is payable when we file your application with the appropriate government agency.

Accessibility.
We are personable and approachable. All the work on your application will be handled by a professional, not an assistant or law clerk. We believe that since you are paying for a professional service, it should be the professional completing your work. We understand that you may be confronted with many issues and we are able to assist you wherever you are located through our network of offices.

Creative Solutions.
We pride ourselves in giving our clients results. If we take on your case, we will provide the best and most efficient solutions in order to expedite your case successfully. Unlike consultancies, we do not offer a money-back guarantee because most of our cases are approved. We do not take cases that do not have a fair chance of success. We understand the law and go to great lengths to deliver the results you hope for. We also understand the governmental regulations and maintain a good relationship with the relevant authorities.

Local Knowledge.
Our team members have lived in at least one of the countries that we offer immigration services to and we have also been through the immigration process ourselves. We are not only familiar with the legal systems of the respective country but we are also familiar with the issues that you may confront as a new immigrant. We can help you sort out practical matters by giving you valuable advice and resources to make your journey as smooth as possible.

ISN'T IT JUST FILLING OUT FORMS? CAN'T I DO THAT MYSELF?

Immigration forms appear deceptively easy.
However an immigration form is a minefield of legal technicalities which are not apparent to a layperson. Unfortunately, these technicalities can cause a petition or application to be rejected. Given the lengthy processing times, having a petition rejected can seriously affect a foreign national's planning by unnecessarily delaying an approval by several months.

We have helped applicants who have tried to save money by preparing an immigration petition on their own, only to do it incorrectly. The end result is that additional time is spent having to clean up the application of the mistakes initially made making the total amount spent more than if the applicant had hired an immigration Lawyer or Registered Migration Agent in the first place.

WHY SHOULD I HIRE YOU AS MY REGISTERED MIGRATION AGENT?

There are many reasons. Here are a few.

Registered Migration Agent -assistance: A Registered Migration Agent will handle your case. Not a paralegal. You will not be passed off to a paralegal or a law clerk after you have hired our firm, never to hear from a Registered Agent again.

Availability/Accessibility: Do you have a pressing question? You can send us an email, and we'll get back to you within 24 hours. Our clients love this feature and appreciate that their questions are answered very quickly. Clients who had hired other Registered Migration Agents before are especially impressed with our response time.

Reasonable fees: Our fees are quite reasonable compared to other firms. We believe that it is important for clients to feel they received value for their money. Value comes from getting results at a fair rate.

I WANT TO HIRE YOUR FIRM, WHAT IS THE NEXT STEP?

Contact us immediately.
Are you unsure which immigration option is most suited to you? Or perhaps you are unsure of your eligibility? Then, the first step is to opt for a consultation or a pre-migration assessment, which can be requested on our query form or by contacting us.

Are you sure of your eligibility and ready to proceed with the application package itself? Please contact us directly and the appropriate Registered Migration Agent or Lawyer will email back to you a retainer agreement as an attachment which must be signed and returned to us along with the retainer fee to initiate the process.

Once we receive the signed retainer, we will commence representation immediately. You'll be pleased with how quickly we move and begin working on your case.

CAN YOU HELP ME IF I LIVE IN ANOTHER STATE OR COUNTRY?

Yes! Immigration law is federal and applies equally to all parts of the country. A Registered Migration Agent can represent a client in a different geographical location so long as they are licensed.

We utilise email, courier, fax, and the phone extensively so that distance makes no difference. We've successfully represented clients all over the world with the use of complex technology.
