Introducing the Migration Matters Team:

Cathrine Burnett shares her time between Australia and the UK. Cathrine is the director and founder of Migration Matters. Cathrine has many years experience working in various aspects of Administrative Law and Investigations within the Australian Government environment, including having worked with the Migration Review Tribunal, the Australian Securities Investment Commission and with the Department of Education Science and Training. Cathrine regularly attends seminars and conferences within the UK to speak on both Australian and New Zealand Immigration. Cathrine has had extensive experience in skilled visas, business visas and spouse visas. She also specialises in migration appeals, concerning merits review before the Migration Review Tribunal, Administrative Appeals Tribunal and the Refugee Review Tribunal. Ross Wilde is currently located in Australia. He is the Senior Consultant for Australian related Migration Matters. Ross is a former full time Member of the Migration Review Tribunal. He is a qualified lawyer with over 35 years of experience, much of it at senior Government level, in the interpretation and administration of a wide range of Australian Government legislation, regulations and policy. He has experience in the legislative process, government policy development and decision-making, in the provision of legal advice in constitutional, government and administrative law matters, and in the conduct of appeals in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal, the Federal Court and the High Court of Australia. As a member of the Migration Review Tribunal, Ross dealt with a wide range of visa classes and associated migration matters. Ross is a Registered Migration Agent - Registration Number 0427632. James Ferguson is currently located in Australia. He is Senior Consultant for Australian related migration matters. James is a former Member of the Migration Review Tribunal. He was a member of the Australian foreign service for over 20 years with extensive overseas experience, specialising in economic relations, human rights and refugees. He was Australian Ambassador to Peru, has served at the United Nations in New York and was head of Economic Relations in the Department of Foreign Affairs before becoming head of a number of Government agencies. He has experience in high level administration and decision making, international negotiation, legislative processes and government policy development and advice. As a member of the Migration Review Tribunal he had experience of a wide range of visa classes and migration issues. He has published on human rights and migration matters. Mona Chawla currently shares her time between the United Kingdom and United States office. Mona is the Principal Consultant for all North American and English Migration Matters. Mona has extensive experience in obtaining employment and investor-based visas for non-citizen professionals and businesspersons, especially those seeking employment in professional and technical fields. Mona is admitted to practice law both in New York and the United Kingdom. She is proficient in French and fluent in Hindi. Mona is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Mona has advised corporate clients and individuals on the immigration consequences of relocation and investments abroad. She has also been published in the New York Law Journal and trade magazines on immigration matters. Suzie Warren is currently located in the United Kingdom. Suzie is the UK Client Services Manager for Migration Matters. Suzie brings to the team a wealth of Administrative and Management experience. Her background includes extensive Customer Service and Account Management roles in the Aircraft industry, Training environment and Print trade.
